Around 300BC, Plato hypothesized a Theory of Everything where each of the classical elements of fire, air, earth, water and aether corresponded to a regular solid. Earth was associated with the cube, air with the octahedron, water the icosahedron, fire the tetrahedron, and aether (the substance the heavens were made of) the dodecahedron.
Inspired by the work of Jacco Bunt, each poster plays with a vibrant colour that ties to the element, and has at its core a strong geometrical nature. As Plato had inscribed at the entrance of his Academy, “Let no one ignorant of geometry enter here.”
